Guarantor Information

A guarantor, usually a parent or guardian, is a person over the age of 25, residing in the US, who agrees to be financially responsible if you are ever unable to fulfill the financial obligations of your housing license. If you are unable to provide a guarantor, a deposit in lieu of guarantor in the amount of $1,200 will be required.

Residential Learning Community (RLC) The San Marcos Experience Residential Learning Community program is for students interested in getting involved in campus and civic engagement opportunities and becoming leaders at CSUSM.
Substance Free Living Students that choose to live in the Substance Free Living Community make the commitment to not use alcohol or drugs.
Gender Inclusive This community meets the needs of all of our residents, inclusive of all genders, gender identities and gender expressions by striving to provide a safe, inclusive, comfortable and supportive living environment.
LGBTQA This housing option creates opportunities for support, identity exploration, and community building for the LGBTQA community and those allies interested in supporting this community.

Meal Plan Options

Each student is required to choose a meal plan for the 2020-2021 academic year. Each option consists of a "block" of meals per week as well as an allowance of flex dollars that can be spent at any dining establishment on campus. The cost for a first-year student meal plan is $2,299 per semester. The options for first-year students are the 19 Meals per Week, 15 Meals per Week, or 12 Meals per Week. Continuing students may select from any of the first year plans at a cost of $2,299 per semester or select a block meal plan which includes a "block" of meals that can be used throughout the year and an allowance of flex dollars that can be spent at any dining establishment on campus for $1,549 per semester.

Applicant represents all of the above information is true, complete and authorizes the verification of same by reasonable means.  Any misrepresentation or omission may be cause for the rejection of this application and/or termination of this license agreement.  Applicant further authorizes free exchange of information between California State University San Marcos, CSUSM Corporation, and COCM, including but not limited to the applicant's student status, academic records, judicial records, and financial records to be used to determine whether this applicant shall be approved or disapproved.

Applicant understands the administrative fee of $300 (per resident) is non-refundable and non-transferable. This fee is used to process the application of both primary and guarantor, as well as other administrative needs such as roommate matching software and preparation of move-in.
