Guarantor Information

A guarantor must be a person over the age of 21, usually a parent, who agrees to be responsible if you are ever unable to fulfill the financial obligations of your lease.  It is similar to having a co-signer.  Please provide the information below for the person who you expect to serve as your guarantor.


You must provide contact information for a guarantor as part of this application. If you are offered a lease, the person you indicate as your guarantor will be contacted and asked to fill out an online guarantor agreement. All residents are required to have a guarantor and may have their application and/or lease cancelled without one.

Apartment Preferences

Brottier Hall has options for single residents as well as group of 4, 3, and 2. St. Martin Hall has options for single residents as well as groups of 2. Forbes Ave Hall has options for single residents as well as groups of 2 and 4.

If you are interested in having roommates but do not indicate anyone here, the Lumina office may contact you with potential roommate matches with other applicants seeking roommates.

Please note that this is only for data-collection purposes, and that all residents interested in Brottier Hall, Forbes Ave Hall, and St. Martin Hall must meet eligibility/application requirements.

Application Completion


Applicant understands that to secure use of a bed within an unit, they must complete all Lease Agreement paperwork and pay all fees. Applicant understands that if, at any time, there are vacant bed space in the applicant's assigned apartment, Capstone On Campus Management (COCM), as Agent for HSRE-RPG Brottier, HSRE-RPG Forbes Ave Hall, and HSRE-RPG- St. Martin Hall reserves the right to assign roommates without prior notice and/or relocate the applicant to another unit.

Applicant understands and agrees that an application fee in the amount of $100.00 is required to reserve a space in Brottier Hall, Forbes Ave Hall, and St. Martin Hall, and failure or refusal to provide this fee may result in the cancellation of this application and any resultant Housing Lease Agreement. The reservation fee is to be paid to the Duquesne University Cashier's Office. Applicant agrees that the reservation fee will be applied to their rent, as defined in their Housing Lease Agreement. Submission of an application does not constitute a guarantee of a housing assignment in Brottier, Forbes Ave Hall, and St. Martin Hall.

Applicant represents that all of the above information is true and complete and authorizes the verification of same by reasonable means. Any misrepresentation or omission may be cause for the rejection of this application and/or the termination of the Lease Agreement. Applicant further authorizes free exchange of information between Duquesne University and COCM, including but not limited to the applicant's student status, academic records, judicial records, and financial records.

Applicant understands that a financially-responsible Guarantor (over the age of 21) is mandatory for the completion of the Lease Agreement process, and failure or refusal to provide a Guarantor may result in the cancellation of this application and any resultant Lease Agreement.
